Last night’s speech by Louisiana’s Governor Bobby Jindal to the Republican National Committee in Charlotte, N.C. has been hailed by some as a rallying call for real reform within the GOP. Yet, reading his speech leaves quite a different impression. He feints to the left, but then runs to the right, the far right. (Full text1)

Overall, Jindal thinks, like so many other GOP “reformers” like Newt Gingrich (why is he still relevant?), that their tone needs to change, not the selfish and hypocritical principles that are routinely rejected by the American majority anywhere outside of the deep south and a few other wing nut conclaves.

How many times do they need this heads up? Cosmetic changes will not cut it.
