Trump Strikes Back Against Critics, Buys Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade
When the “You’re Fired” guy – and Sarasota Florida GOP “Statesman of the Year”1 – gets his orange dander up, watch out! And Donald Trump always has his dander up. So, after a petition petition calling for Macy’s to break its Thanksgiving Day Parade relationship with Trump garnered nearly 700,000 signatures,2 Trump uncharacter- istically declined statesmanlike negotiations and, instead, immediately bought all rights to the iconic jolly ritual.
Mr. Trump insisted he would maintain a low profile, if not a low altitude:
