Mit Romney’s “A Tree Grows In Michigan”

He loves the trees, the lakes, the cars. Why, once he recalls tying one of Michigan’s famed wolverines to the back of his tricycle on a trip to the candy store. “Boy howdy,” he tells all who still will listen,

“that little critter loved that ride. Later on I shot it with my Red Ryder. Later that day I almost shot my eye out with that BB gun. Mom was right. She always said,

‘The critters, Willard, the critters. Don’t you go shooting them any more. You’ve only got two eyes, silly.’

But I never did stop shooting. Critters.”

“If I win the presidency, there’s a lot of trees in Michigan, a lot more than people need. There is now American grown technology that enables the private sector to transform a tree into a part of a brand new house.”
