Who The Tea Party Will Blame For The Uninsured Numbers From The Census

Today, NJ.com published its brief review of Tuesday’s Census report about those residing in the U.S. who have no health insurance. The report, Health insurance and poverty Income, Poverty, andHealth Insurance Coverage inthe United States: 2010.

In 2010, the percentage of people without health insurance, 16.3 percent;

The rate (13.8 percent) and number of uninsured in 2010 (36.9 million)for the native-born population;

Among the foreign-born population, the rate and number of uninsured
increased for naturalized citizens in 2010 to 20.0 percent and 3.4 million,
from 18.4 percent and 3.0 million in 2009. Both the rate (45.1 percent) and
number of uninsured (9.7 million) for noncitizens in 2010 were not statistically different from 2009 estimates.

The proportion of the foreign-born population without health insurance
in 2010 was about two and one-half times that of the native-born population
in 2010.

How many of the uninsured represent illegal immigrants? Probably millions, this is why the numbers are distorted. Things continue to get worse under Obama, which is why we nedd a change in 2012.
