Penn State Child Sexual Abuse Allegations – Full Text Of The Grand Jury Presentment
Just a few days ago it was often said “Joe Paterno is Penn State.” He’s now under fire, not for what he did – he seems to have acted appropriately according to Pennsylvania’s mandated reporter statutes (23 Pa. Stat. 6311(c)) – but for what one of his former, and storied, defensive coordinators is alleged to have done. Coach Paterno, at 84 years old, and with a 75% winning record since 1966, won often while former coach Jerry Sandusky guided PSU’s defense. Now, some eternal verities seem to be at work, perhaps “All glory is fleeting.” For if the allegations are proved, certainly, Sandusky’s glory days will quickly be buried under the detritus of his secret life, and the pain of his victims and their families.
