Limbaugh Understands The GOP May Go Over The “Fiscal Cliff” By Itself & Without A Parachute
Yesterday, the words “Democrat” and “orgasm” were combined in one sentence by a man for whom the very idea of the latter word leaping from his mouth is enough to put even Charlie Sheen off sex for weeks. I am referencing the pile of off-putting protoplasm Rush Limbaugh, who had the following to say during his radio show:
“So you say, ‘Okay, why would he want to go over the cliff?’ Well, what happens when we go over the cliff? A Democrat orgasm happens. Taxes go up for everybody. That’s nirvana to these people. Taxes go up on everybody on January 1st, in all kinds of ways. And then, after that, guess what Obama gets to do? He gets to call a national speech to the nation and blame the Republicans for it, and then come out for tax cuts.”
Well, the fact is, Mr. Limbaugh is telling the truth, and I’ve never used the words “Limbaugh” and “truth” in the same sentence. Rush is blindly squirming in a trap of the his and the GOP’s own making. Having been absolutely intransigent about raising even a dollar in additional taxes from the absolutely wealthiest of Americans the “blame” that Rush predicts is well-placed.
As we all know, Democrats and the President do not want taxes to go up “for everybody.” That has never been the administration’s stance, and he knows that. Rush cannot, it seems, tell two truths in one paragraph . . .
