Gun Owners Do The Funniest Things, No. 6 – Next Time Just Throw Darts
Levon Davis, then 23, has a sense of humor. According to police reports he was humoring his girlfriend one afternoon last August when he taped her picture to his back fence. The punch line came when he unlimbered his rifle, loaded his 2nd Amendment rights, and took some target practice at her pic.
The next morning, his neighbors, who had heretofore lived casually and safely at the other side of the aforementioned fence, found a bullet hole in their house, the part of the house facing Mr. Davis’s personal firing range. Police quickly determined the obvious facts and despite the 2nd Amendment implications quickly arrested Mr. Davis for negligent discharge of a firearm.
