Climate Change – GOP Congressman Dana Rohrbacher Can’t See The Forest OR The Trees
Michael Matthew Bloomer, August 13, 2013
Just so you’ll know . . .
“Just so you’ll know, global warming is a total fraud
and it’s being designed because what you’ve got is you’ve got liberals who
get elected at the local level want state government to do the work and let them make the decision.
Then, at the state level, they want the federal government to do it.
And at the federal government,
they want to create global government to control all of our lives.”

As you can see, Dana Rorhbacher’s been sniffing CO2. And note he’s but a garden variety opponent of climate change science among the GOP right-wing. There’s this, from the GOP Chairman of the House Science Committee, Ralph Hall of Texas, reported in Talking Points Memo:
“I’m really more fearful of freezing.
And I don’t have any science to prove that.
But we have a lot of science that tells us [climate scientists are] not basing it on real scientific facts.
and we need to listen to more.”
He’s more fearful of freezing. What can you say?
Among the many visualizations of global temperature change NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center are both clear and stunning. Many deny the existence, not of global warming, per se, but of its causes and its potential to cause cataclysmic damage in the short run or the long run.
This color-coded map displays a progression of changing global surface temperatures anomalies from 1880 through 2012. Higher than normal temperatures are shown in red and lower than normal temperatures are shown in blue. Global surface temperature in 2012 was +0.55 |

Recently, GOP environmental wingnuts have continued their humbuggery, and extended it to surreal depths, as did Texas Congressloon Joe Barton when, during an April 2013 House Subcommittee on Energy and Power hearing, he instructed his listeners:
“If you’re a believer in the Bible,
one would have to say the Great Flood is an example of climate change.
And that certainly wasn’t because mankind had overdeveloped hydrocarbon energy.”
Yes. Certainly. But what about these:
