3 Quick & Easy Charts Of Tiger Woods’ Ball Striking, Putting, And Accuracy Improvements Since 2009

Last night as I researched an article about Tiger Woods’ 2010-2011 “walkabout.” I visited the PGA’s official site. Here’s some data I put together in chart form that pinpoints major areas of his game that declined, and which have recently recovered to 2009 levels, his last truly great year. The source is the PGA performance stats database. I picked entries from those areas where I (unscientifically) noticed major improvements between his six win year, 2009, and the present day, now literally unfolding at the Masters Tournament. The third chart is particularly telling, and optimistically so for Tiger’s fans like me!

I’ll update Tiger’s stats at the end of the second round.

[If you’re interested in more, visit the PGA performance stats database. They have much more data about Tiger, and every other PGA golfer, for every year.]
